Dr Bruna Petreca is the Research Fellow in Human Experience & Materials at the Royal College of Art’s Materials Science Research Centre (MRSC). At the MSRC, she integrates human experience into areas where materials development is increasingly important: circular economy, on-site / on-demand manufacture, digital environments, and health and wellbeing.
Bruna leads the Consumer Experience strand of the UKRI Interdisciplinary Textiles Circularity Centre, designing methods, tools, and experiences to stimulate acceptance of emergent textiles and promote more sustainable consumption. Her research is published in leading journals and presented at prestigious conferences in the fields of design and HCI. She has delivered workshops and lectures in diverse institutions: University College London, London College of Fashion, University of the Arts Bremen, Delft University of Technology, Design Academy Eindhoven, University of São Paulo and Belas Artes University.
