Mette Skovbjerg is head of the climate division in Copenhagen’s technical and environmental department. She is responsible for developing the climate plan focusing on reducing consumption-based emissions in Copenhagen towards 2035. Mette has a background in political science and was previously engaged with Local Government Denmark, working to establish the DK2020 partnership between Danish local governments in all municipalities, the Danish regions and Realdania. The DK2020 project supported all Danish municipalities in developing climate action plans using C40s Climate Action Planning Framework
