Mary-Anne has been with Islington Council for a year, having worked in sustainable development and community participation projects previously. This year she managed Islington’s circular economy grant scheme, part of the council’s Covid recovery programme for small businesses across the borough. The programme aimed at empowering local people and businesses in reducing waste and moving the borough towards its goal of becoming net-zero by 2030.
