Jan Kattein, DipArch, MArch, PhD, FIPM is an author, lecturer and practitioner who lives in London. After completing a degree, postgraduate diploma and a Masters in architecture at the Bartlett, he worked in social housing before pursuing a brief career in theatre design. In 2004 he established his own studio, Jan Kattein Architects. Today, Jan Kattein Architects is recognized internationally as one of the leading placemaking and participatory design practices with award-winning projects that are celebrated for their environmental, spatial- and civic accomplishments.
