Dr Anne Owen is an Academic Fellow in the School of Earth and Environment at the University of Leeds. Anne is responsible for providing UK Government with annual consumption accounts for carbon and materials. The Carbon Footprint is now a national statistic. She also provides figures for the Scottish Government and the Greater London Authority. Anne’s research focusses on identifying the role of household consumption in the UK’s changing demand for energy and its associated change in emissions. She also works on the distributional effects of climate policy on household income groups
